Montgomery Baptist Church is striving to become a house of prayer that brings honor and glory to almighty God. It was Jesus who said, "My house will be called a house of prayer" (Matt. 21:13). We at MBC are seeking to make prayer the heart of our ministry, not just something tacked on to our ministry. Our prayer is that all MBC Ministries will become more fruitful as the Holy Spirit empowers us. It is our desire to remain obedient to the Word of God in fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ as we live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him.

Sunday School
MBC's Sunday morning starts with a 9:00am Bible study that ends at 9:45pm. During that time, every member of MBC is being trained and equipped to be soul-winners for Christ through sowing and growing in the Word of God. It is our desire to help every person realize their full potential in becoming everything God created them to be as soul-winners for Christ. Persons desiring to become members of MBC are instructed in the doctrine of MBC while attending New Members Class during the Sunday School hour. Our new members are carefully discipled in an effort to help them achieve and live the victorious Christian life according to God's Word .

WORSHIP
Following Sunday School our dynamic WORSHIP SERVICE begins at 10:00am. Our minds and hearts are prepared for the worship service with an uplifting time of PRAISE in song and word. We believe that true praise welcomes the presence of the Lord and provides an atmosphere where God's anointing can provide healing, restoration and deliverance for the worshipper.

Bible Study and Prayer
MBC's Wednesday night begins with an Adult Bible Study which starts at 7:30pm. During that time, every member of MBC is being trained and equipped to be soul-winners for Christ through sowing and growing in the Word of God. It is our desire to help every person realize their full potential in becoming everything God created them to be as soul-winners for Christ.

Following Bible Study we engage in an intense time of prayer both individually and corporately. We believe that at the heart of any local church there must be a power center of prayer enabling each member to minister in his or her respective harvest field for Christ with great power and boldness infiltrating all segments of society.

Our Youth Ministry also convenes a Youth Bible Study & Fellowship for children ages 3-17 during the time frame of 7:30 to 9:00pm.

We also provide the following fellowship ministries for the men, women, and youth of MBC:

Youth Ministry  oversees several ministries that provide fellowship, Bible Study, crafts, and Christian discussion relevant to our youth for the purpose of equipping our youth to live Godly lives at home, in school, or in wherever environment they may be in. Married Couples Fellowship meets every third Friday of the month to provide relevant discussion, fellowship, and Christian education for the purpose of equipping our married couples to rely upon Christian principles to define the roles of husband and wife. All married or engaged couple are encouraged to attend. Topics include conflict resolution, roles in marriage, and oneness. 

Care Groups meet every third Sunday in the homes of our members to provide support, fellowship, and Christian education for the purpose of monitoring the physical and spiritual welfare of each member of MBC. Care group leaders contact members weekly to receive prayer requests and praise reports.

Women's Prayer Group meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month to provide a time for praying for the needs of the church and community. A Women's Prayer Breakfast is organized quarterly to include food, fellowship, and Christian encouragement for the purpose of gathering the women together to intercede in prayer on behalf of the needs of others.

The Men's Ministry meets monthly to provide that same relevant worship, fellowship, and Christian education for the purpose of equipping our men of God with the soul-winning tools they need to evangelize and disciple those people God places in each man's harvest field. This group also inspires men to be the men God expects them to be at home and at work.
 

The Pastor's Aid and Prayer Ministry assists the Pastor in accomplishing various church functions.  Prayer is very important to the success of every ministry MBC seeks to unleash in the church, community, and the world because the supernatural working of the Holy Spirit involved in the whole process of our prayer lives. If you are in need of prayer, send us your prayer request. Include your name, your prayer need, and your e-mail address. As you wait for God's answer, remember, "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much". This ministry involves the men and women of MBC.

The Ushers Ministry graciously prepares our sanctuary for the worship experience.  Our doorkeepers use their ushering skills to warmly meet, greet, seat all worshippers during the morning service. This ministry involves the women, men, and youth of MBC.

The Music Ministry provides various types of music for the worship experience. Under the direction of our Minister of Music, our Praise Team, church choir, and gifted soloists sing praise songs and hymns to the glory of the Lord. This ministry involves the women, men, and youth of MBC.

 

The Audio Tape Ministry records each Sunday Morning message and makes audio tapes available to those interested in receiving a cassette copy of the morning sermon. Cassette tapes are available at the end of each service or check out our Sermon of the Week page to listen to an uplifting sermon on-line. The ministry involves the women, men, and youth of MBC.

The Internet Ministry designs, updates, and maintains the church web site. The ministry involves the women and men of MBC.

The Finance Committee maintains the financial records and an accurate accounting of the financial transactions of the church. The ministry involves the treasurer and finance officers of MBC.

The Hospitality Committee provides delicious treats for the congregation to enjoy during our time of fellowship following the Sunday Morning service and on special occasions. The ministry involves the women and youth of MBC.

The Office Staff cheerfully handles all of the office related administrative needs of the church and the Pastor. The ministry involves the secretary of MBC.

The Church Council provides spiritual guidance and leadership to the ministries and members of MBC. Under the direction of the pastor, the council seeks to fulfil the vision of MBC while adhering to the general guidelines of the church doctrine. This council includes the pastor, ministerial staff, treasurer, secretary, director of men's fellowship, and a trustee.
