From the Pastor . . .
|
Most of us are thankful for today but are hoping for a brighter tomorrow. The problem is that we have no way of knowing what tomorrow holds. Our best laid plans often change without any input from us. In today's text, the people of Israel found themselves in a place that was not their home. In fact, it was a place that they were exiled to. They had no one to turn to but God. People today often find themselves in a place that doesn't always promise them a better tomorrow. This causes us to worry about our future and what it holds for us. Certainly, in the world today, with the political climate along with the economic situation, it is easy to be worried about our future. What we need to know is that no matter where we are right now God has a plan for us. If this is true and we really believe it, then what's the problem? |
